Social Security Division:

The Treasury’s Social Security Division (SSD) administers Social Security and Medicare coverage for all state and local government employees throughout Louisiana. The SSD's responsibilities include navigating complex laws when it comes to coverage, benefits and tax withholdings between state and local governments and the federal government. The SSD also works with local governmental employers who wish to cover employees for Social Security or Medicare-Only.
